Lead Volunteer (Wolverhampton Weekends)

Opportunity image

We have some great teams of volunteers working in and around Wolverhampton, but we are currently missing out on a very important group, those of working age who cannot join our Monday to Friday projects.

We are looking for a special individual who is willing to take on the extra responsibility of becoming a Lead Volunteer, someone we can put in a position of trust who can take a group out to tackle vegetation management, towpath litter picking, water borne litter collection (long pickers, grappling hooks etc).

You will be fully supported by our Volunteering Leaders, existing volunteers and our operational team, and will be given a wide range of training. Further training on tools, and even boat helming can be an option.

We would like a commitment level of at least one decent session every other weekend, but more would be fantastic!

Our volunteers love working by water and find it hugely rewarding and beneficial to their mental and physical wellbeing.

Apply today to make a real difference to your community, wildlife and industrial heritage.
