Wolverhampton Towpath Taskforce

We have some amazing Towpath volunteers who help us make Wolverhampton’s canals welcoming spaces for boaters, towpath users and wildlife alike.

From planting native wildflowers through painting lock gates, to pulling tyres and shopping trollies out of the water, our team are not afraid to get their hands dirty (although we do supply gloves, wipes and gel)!

The existing team meets on a Monday, but we are looking for more people to work on other days (including weekends if we can recruit a lead volunteer for this role).

There will also be plenty of opportunity to join us on workboats, tackling waterborne litter and offside vegetation.

Our volunteers love working by water and find it hugely rewarding and beneficial to their mental and physical wellbeing.
