Ambassador Volunteer (Events Volunteer)

Join the Canal & River Trust as an Ambassador and help to connect more people to our canals. Your role will help to preserve our nation’s history and keep canals alive. You will have the opportunity to support some incredible events, be part of a supportive team network, and gain a new appreciation for our unique environment.

We're growing our brilliant Event Team based at the Canal Museum, Stoke Bruerne! The Event Volunteer role is a great opportunity to get involved with the growing programme of events and craft workshops here.

Weekend availability will be required for this role, as that's when the majority of our main events and craft workshops take place.

Volunteering at events will include assisting with setting up and taking down events, being responsible for running activities or a stall, and providing brilliant customer service to make a memorable day for our visitors.

Volunteers for creative workshops will support the workshop leader by assisting with setting-up the Learning Centre, delivering a short safety briefing to attendees at the start of the session, making drinks, taking lunch orders, and handing out survey sheets. No technical or craft experience is required for supporting the creative workshops, as there will be a workshop leader - you just need to enjoy meeting people and delivering great customer service.
