Conservation Volunteer (Workboats - Offside vegetation)
We are currently seeking additional volunteers to support our workboat crews with offside vegetation management along the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal.
Join us as a Conservator Volunteer and play an important role in preserving our waterways and keeping their rich heritage alive. This rewarding role offers the chance to experience the many landscapes and locations across our beautiful canal while helping to maintain vital structures and assets. From carrying out planned vegetation clearance around our bridges or aqueducts to removing graffiti in urban areas, our Conservator Volunteers help ensure our waterways remain welcoming, attractive, and well cared for. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet new friends, obtain new skills and make a positive impact in your local community while learning more about this canal.
There may also be other opportunities within the conservator role that may also be of interest such as maintenance activities.
This volunteering opportunity could take place anywhere along our 35-mile canal, from Brecon to Cwmbran, within the Canal & River Trust's jurisdiction.
