Supporting Volunteer (Marketing and Media volunteer)

The Anderton Boat Lift is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Social Media and Marketing Volunteer to help share the story of the Lift and celebrate everything that makes this unique site so special. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in promoting one of the most iconic landmarks on the waterway network, helping to inspire visitors and showcase what’s happening at the Visitor Centre. The role involves supporting the creation and scheduling of engaging social media content, promoting events, boat trips and volunteering opportunities, assisting with local marketing activity, and responding to comments and messages in a welcoming and professional manner. This role can be carried out mostly from home, with occasional visits to site to capture content or support campaigns. It would suit someone who enjoys being creative, likes engaging with people online and has an interest in social media, marketing or communications. No previous experience is required, as full guidance and support will be provided. Volunteering in this role offers the chance to build confidence, develop valuable skills and be part of a warm, supportive team, while helping to create an engaging online presence for the Anderton Boat Lift. Volunteering is flexible and can fit around your availability.
