Ambassador Volunteer (Diglis Island Café)

Join the Canal & River Trust as an Ambassador and help to connect more people to our canals. Your role will help to preserve our nation’s history and keep canals alive. You will have the opportunity to support some incredible events, be part of a supportive team network, and gain a new appreciation for our unique environment.

We're seeking motivated and enthusiastic Café volunteers to join our small and friendly team.

Diglis Island Café is a new, but increasingly popular destination for people walking along the Riverside Park in Worcester who want refreshments and to take in the amazing view up the River Severn towards the cathedral. Using a cup-to-bean machine, you will help to prepare and serve a variety of coffee and drinks beverages, as well as taking payment and helping with clearing of tables and loading the dishwasher. This opportunity also involves talking to the customers about the role of the Trust and the history of Diglis Island.

The Café is open at various times throughout the week and the occasional weekend. The coffee is made using a bean-to-cup machine. There are snacks and ice creams for sale as well as a small range of souvenirs.
