Fancy spending a few hours outdoors, meeting new people and helping to make Mexborough’s waterways a better place to visit?

Our Mexborough Taskforce meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month, weather permitting, carrying out a variety of practical jobs around Rotherham Lock. Activities can include maintaining the flower beds, tidying vegetation, litter picking, painting and small heritage restoration tasks - including restoration of the heritage ferry boat slipway.

No experience is necessary and there’s something for most abilities. Refreshments are provided too.

All you need is to enjoy some fresh air, good company and the satisfaction of giving a little back to the local community.
