Ambassador Volunteer (Let's Talk Pontymoile)
Join the Canal & River Trust as an Ambassador and help to connect more people to our canals. Your role will help to preserve our nation’s history and keep canals alive. You will have the opportunity to support some incredible events, be part of a supportive team network, and gain a new appreciation for our unique environment.
We need your support to help build support from those who have yet to discover our network. As an Ambassador, no one day is the same and you will get the chance to experience a diverse array of volunteer opportunities all across our region.
Let's Talk is a project designed to help those in the local community who feel isolated or lonely. Providing a space for them to meet new people in a friendly, welcoming environment. The sessions will last for between 1 and 2 hours and will be offered in various locations at an assortment of times to make them accessible to a range of people.
As an Ambassador volunteer you will have a keen interest in the canals and the Trust, its values and aims. You will have a heart for people and find joy in talking with new friends and learning more about the local community.
You will also be invited to come to public events such as open days or conferences where the Trust is represented to talk to others about what you do with the Trust and why.
Skills required:
- a friendly and approachable personality
- a love for canals and rivers and being close to nature
- a willingness to tell people about the Canal and River Trust and what we do
