Being an Explorers Volunteer is a rewarding experience. The role is full of variety, flexibility and a lot of fun!

From bug hunts and pond dipping to discovering how a river works to why we have canals, from adventure to Science, we inspire children and young people about our waterways, using the waterways as a tool with its rich biodiversity, heritage and recreational potential, we use these areas to build life skills, develop wellbeing and connect children with the great outdoors and nature. We provide you with full training and resources for leading groups of children, with several training days and team meetings.

You will have the support of a Learning & Skills Coordinator and the other volunteers on your team. We will reimburse you for all travel costs, supply you with a uniform, and conduct a full DBS check.
