Conservation Volunteer (Lancaster Canal Northern Reaches)
Join us today to become a Conservator Volunteer and be part of the team keeping history alive by preserving our waterways. In this role you’ll get to experience the many faces and locations of our beautiful network and help maintain our structures and assets. Whether it’s working on pre-planned maintenance, cutting back vegetation and removing invasive species, litter picking, dry-stone walling or mending towpaths, our Conservators do a fantastic job of making sure there’s plenty of beauty on the doorstep. This is a practical volunteering opportunity on the Northern Reaches that makes a huge difference in your community whilst learning more about the canals in your area. We meet between 10am to 2pm on various days in the month, so please contact us for further details. Locations and meeting points are sent in advance of each session.
