Supporting Volunteer (Cycle Library Volunteer - Miles Platting)
Take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and become one of our Supporting Volunteers. You will be supporting the launch of our Cycle Library in Miles Platting. The Cycle Library gives people in the community the opportunity to loan recycled bicycles to encourage people to cycle more in their daily lives and take in the wellbeing benefits of being active along our waterways.
You will meet all sorts of people while welcoming visitors to the Cycle Library and attending outreach events in the wider community to show people how they can take part. As a Supporting Volunteer you will feel part of the team, meeting up with people to accept or collect donated bicycles and thanking them for their support of the scheme.
There will be plenty of opportunity to learn more about a variety of subjects and turn your talents to helping with things like basic bicycle maintenance, administration to support the library; including registering new members, completing loan agreements, data collection and seeking feedback from people using the service.
You will be an ambassador for Canal & River Trust & the Cycle Library, using your skills and experience to help people in your community benefit from regular access to a free and green method of transport on their doorstep, as well as cycling for fun and fitness!
