Drop in Volunteer (Chorley Towpath Taskforce)

Opportunity image

Our Towpath Taskforce group meets up 10am to 2.00pm at various locations in and around Chorley along the Leeds Liverpool Canal on the first and third Friday of every month. We tackle litter, cut back overgrown vegetation, paint locks, mend towpaths, repair fencing and many other related tasks. All tools and equipment will be provided. Locations and meeting points are sent in advance of each session.

Drop-in roles offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities, or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

There are no formal skills required and you have the chance to volunteer across lots of unique and beautiful environments.

Sign up, join us, and meet the team for a fantastic volunteer experience.
