Waterside Specialist (Volunteer Tunnel Keepers, Harecastle Tunnel.)

The Trust is looking for Volunteer Tunnel Keepers to support our existing team of experienced Volunteer Tunnel Keepers and staff with the operation of the Harecastle Tunnel. The tunnel is situated on the Trent & Mersey Canal in Stoke-on-Trent.

The role includes managing boats as they arrive at the tunnel wanting to travel through the structure. Some on-site maintenance will be required to ensure the site is kept clean and tidy throughout the day. From March 1st until October 31st tunnel passages are available 7 days a week between the hours of 8am & 5pm. We are looking for volunteers that are available to volunteer Monday to Sunday with a particular emphasis on weekend working, and with flexibility on start and finish times. We are looking for volunteers who enjoy meeting people and can deliver the best customer experience to all visitors to the tunnel site.
