Ambassador Volunteer (Greeter Volunteer Admiral Visitor Boat)

Join the Canal & River Trust as an Ambassador and help to connect more people to our canals. At Caen Hill Locks the Canal & River Trust have a visitor centre based on a boat, we are looking for people who can volunteer for one day a week at this popular location. This is an opportunity to be the ‘face’ of the Canal & River Trust, playing a key role in the enjoyment of the visitor experience and ensuring visitors leave with a greater understanding and affinity to the waterways.

It will involve being on hand to talk to visitors enlightening them to the work that the Canal & River Trust carries out and inform them about the what, where, when and why of your local waterway, surrounding area and the charity as a whole. Your role will help to preserve our nation’s history and keep canals alive. You will have the opportunity to support some incredible events, be part of a supportive team network, and gain a new appreciation for our unique environment.

We need your support to help build support from those who have yet to discover our network. As an Ambassador, no one day is the same and you will get the chance to experience a diverse array of volunteer opportunities all across our regions.
