Available from 7 August 2024

Come and join our Towpath Taskforce at Dobb's Weir, EN11 0AZ, on 7th & 17th of August. We are meeting in the Lee Valley next to the River Palace Cafe. As a Towpath Taskforce Volunteer you will help to support your local canal by cutting back overgrown vegetation, clearing paths, collecting litter, painting, planting and generally tidying up. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support. We will be delighted to see you there!

Please note that under 18's must have a guardian present throughout the session. This event is not for corporate groups, if you would like to book a time for a corporate day out please head to our corporate volunteering pages.

We welcome people of all abilities & backgrounds to our sessions. Our team have taken part in disability awareness workshops and are happy to help but due to the canals natural environments and existing pathways, not all of our sessions are accessible for people with mobility needs. Please get in touch with us if you would like to talk about how we can support you in volunteering with us. Drop-in roles offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities, or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

Sign up, join us, and meet the team for a fantastic volunteer experience.
