Join the Canal & River Trust today by becoming a Waterway Ranger.

We are looking for people who enjoy walking and are happy to walk their local towpath on a fairly regular basis, talking to people on your way, helping Canal & River Trust to have a presence, as well as doing a spot of litter picking, and also looking out for anything that might need reporting to our team. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please get in touch.

As well as getting to meet new people, this task offers fresh air and exercise – as well as the chance to enjoy some of our beautiful waterways and the wildlife that lives there.

No experience is required – any training required will be provided. This role is available in Weedon, Nether Heyford & Bugbrooke

As a Waterway Ranger you'll be the face, eyes and ears of the Trust. Having a regular friendly presence on the towpath means a lot for visitors and supporters and goes a long way to us caring for and sustaining our fantastic network for future generations. we need your support to be there for our customers. You'll be assisting our visitor experience at some of our most beautiful sites, as well as possibly working in our more remote and niche environments, learning more about our waterways. Your support to help maintain our network will help us achieve our goal to keep canals alive.
