Supporting Volunteer (Woodland Support Volunteer)

We have an exciting new opportunity for a volunteer to support our Climate Change Project Manager in planning and delivering our national tree planting project. The role will involve helping the project manager plan and deliver our DEFRA funded tree planting project to plant 50000 trees by March 2025. This role can be done from our Leeds Office Hub (ideally on Fridays) with some home working and site visits when necessary.

What you will be doing

  • Review project plans
  • Meet with consultants and contractors
  • Review designs
  • Attend a steering group
  • Assist with the project in general.
  • Work on what happens after the funding ends with the working group and spot opportunities for ongoing volunteering.

The skills you need

  • Interest in projects mitigating climate change
  • Reliable and organised
  • Some project management skills would be desirable
  • Be available approximately one day a week from September to March
