Lead Volunteer (Primary Education)

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals who wish to take a lead on innovative primary school engagement activities, using the canals to broaden learning & improve wellbeing.

We know there are innovative ways young people could be engaging with outdoor learning if there was just that enthusiastic, imaginative and locally-focussed person to make it happen... Could this be you?!

What we're after:

• People with a passion for our waterways

• Ideas for engaging primary school pupils with the benefits of being by water.

• Availability during the school week and enthusiasm to lead your chosen activities

Once trained in our safe delivery of outdoor learning, you'll be designing an impactful school project on the waterways near you, recruiting schools to take part in activities and delivering them alongside our Education staff and volunteers.

What takes your interest?

• Want to lead Wellbeing Walks for pupils needing a little extra nurture or physical movement?

• Want to help a school adopt a small patch of canalside to care for and protect?

• Want to train Junior Lock Keepers? All ideas considered!
