Drop in Volunteer (Diggle portal welcome session, Sam Road, OL3 5PU)

Would you like to get an idea of what it is to volunteer with the Canal and River Trust?

This welcome session is aimed at giving people a taste of what it is to volunteer with the Trust. The Diggle portal project is an exciting new volunteering opportunity which aims to create a more welcoming space for visitors. Situated at the western end of the amazing Standedge tunnel, the portal is in need of some attention and landscaping.

This ongoing project will look at tidying up the area, creating a welcoming space and also facilitating our canoe and boat trips through the tunnel.

An ideal opportunity for anyone who likes to be outside carrying out landscaping, gardening and maintenance work.
