Education Volunteer (National Waterways Museum, Gloucester Dock)

Being an Explorers Volunteer is a rewarding experience. The role is full of variety, flexibility and a lot of fun! We inspire children and young people about our canals and rivers, using the waterways as a tool to build life skills, raise aspirations and connect children with the great outdoors.

A key focus of our work is Water Safety education, which we aim to share with as many children as possible through workshop assemblies in Gloucestershire.

You'll start by shadowing and experienced volunteer - our activities are easy to pick up and along the way you'll learn more about our historic waterway, nature and science!

We are looking for people with previous experience of working with children or have a strong desire to gain experience in that area. We will arrange for your DBS check to volunteer with us.

We give you full training and ongoing support, we reimburse all travel expenses and host social get togethers to celebrate the fantastic achievements of our volunteers!
