Join us and become a Waterside Leader in paddle sports leadership in the heart of Gloucester. Based at our new Community Paddle Hub in Gloucester Docks you will be supported to achieve the qualifications and confidence required to safely lead others on the water, in craft including canoes, kayaks and paddle boards.

With our improved step-free accessibility and adaptive paddling equipment we encourage people with disabilities to apply.

You will be helping to deliver regular free and low-cost community paddling to local people including community groups and schools, with a strong focus on inclusivity and encouraging participation. We require a demonstration of commitment to the role before we will refer you for any qualifications and a commitment to volunteer with the programme once qualified. The paddling season will generally run from March to October.

You’ll help thousands of people to enjoy the network like never before and in turn will help to achieve our goals of keeping canals alive.

This is a perfect opportunity for those with a keen interest in paddle sports , or someone who is looking to build their skills as a leader. Find out more about what opportunities await you as Waterside Leader by applying today.
