Lead Volunteer (Erewash Canal.)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual, eager and willing to learn. This is an opportunity to help facilitate and support the Task Manager to maintain and improve the Erewash Canal. Tasks include but are not limited to, managing activities, ensuring group safety and fostering a positive environment. This is a hands-on role, working outdoors, learning new skills and gaining knowledge. The successful candidate will be expected to lead a small, multi-faceted, specialist team carrying out work on the Erewash Canal. They will do this by helping with the day-to-day maintenance and more involved tasks such as joinery, masonry and minor engineer work.

To assist with the delivery of this we are seeking a Task Leader to help our Task Manager on a Wednesday and Thursday between 08:00 -16:00.

Training opportunities include helming boats, brush cutter/strimmer, pole saw and hedge trimmer qualifications to name a few! No experience is needed, just a can-do attitude.
