Opportunity image

Woodley and Romiley Towpath Taskforce is a new volunteer group working on the Peak Forest Canal in the areas of Woodley and Romiley.

We work on vital tasks such as litter picking, vegetation management, graffiti removal, mending towpaths and generally making the canal in this area a more attractive place for everyone to enjoy.

All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments. No experience is necessary but you will need sturdy footwear, suitable warm clothes and waterproofs. Do contact us if you would like to take part, we'd love to hear from you!

Our first meeting is coming up on Thursday 24th April at 10.00am. Subsequently we will meet once a month on a Thursday. This time we'll start at the car park next to the canal at What3Words 'seated.ranked.offers' accessed from Padden Brook SK6 3AL.

Come along for our next towpath taskforce on Thursday 24th April!
