At Canal & River Trust we aim to have all our lock flights lock kept by volunteers and the 16 lock flight at Wordsley, Stourbridge is our newest venture.

Come along and be part of this exciting journey.

The Stourbridge Canal completed in 1779 was an integral part of the glass industry for conveying supplies and distributing finished products such as coal, ironstone and limestone were transported from local mines and collieries. Although now used more for leisure boating this is part of the Stourport ring and offers beautiful scenery and glass making history along the way.
