Supporting Volunteer (Survey Volunteer (Dundas Aqueduct))
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help gather valuable feedback from visitors at the Dundas Aqueduct. Your conversations will give visitors a chance to share what they love, what they’d like to see changed, and how we can make the Dundas Aqueduct even more welcoming.
Your duties will involve:
- Observing and noting the behaviours and general profile of visitors as they explore the site
- Approaching visitors in a friendly, engaging, and welcoming manner
- Inviting visitors to take part in a short survey, clearly explaining its purpose
- Using a tablet to read out survey questions and accurately record visitor responses
- Thanking visitors for their time and wishing them a pleasant onward journey
- Following guidance on health, safety, and data privacy
- Reporting any issues or feedback to your designated contact at Canal & River Trust
This is a flexible volunteering opportunity that suits people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or just a couple of sessions a month, your contribution will make a real difference. You’ll need to be confident using a tablet so you can record responses, but no other previous knowledge or experience is needed. We’ll provide a comprehensive training session before you start, so you’ll be confident and ready to gather feedback.
So, if you enjoy talking to people and want to play a part in improving the Dundas Aqueduct, we’d love to hear from you!
