Join Our Canalside Gardening Group at Trent Street!

Do you enjoy gardening and want to make a visible difference in your local area? We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help care for our beautiful canal side garden at Trent Street, a key access point on the Nottingham–Beeston Canal.

Thanks to the support of the Nottz Garden Project, we’ve created a vibrant green space — now we need a team to help it thrive.

When: Tuesdays

Where: Trent Street Access, Nottingham–Beeston Canal

Led by: One of our experienced lead volunteers

What can you do?:

Plant and care for flowers and shrubs

Weed and tidy the space

Keep the garden litter-free and welcoming

Help grow a garden that supports people and wildlife alike

No experience? No problem. We provide all tools and guidance — just bring your enthusiasm a love of the outdoors and a passion for gardening.

Why volunteer?:

Be part of a friendly, local group

Enjoy fresh air and gentle activity

Support urban nature and biodiversity

Take pride in transforming a well-used canal access point

Let’s grow something great together on Trent Street!

It's a great chance to meet new people and learn about how we look after the canals and rivers. These teams are always led by one of our colleagues or Lead Volunteers who make sure that you have the best time and help care for the local waterways.
