Lead Volunteer (Visitor Boat Devizes)

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to co-ordinate and lead our ever-growing group of volunteers in the Trust. This role is to Lead the Greeter Volunteers on our 'Welcome Boat'. This is an opportunity to be the ‘face’ of the Canal & River Trust, playing a key role in the enjoyment of the visitor experience and ensuring visitors leave with a greater understanding and affinity to the waterways.

It will involve being on hand to talk to visitors enlightening them to the work that the Canal & River Trust carries out and inform them about the what, where, when and why of your local waterway, surrounding area and the charity as a whole. As a Lead, you’ll work alongside staff and other volunteers to plan, promote, lead, deliver, evaluate and celebrate volunteering and volunteers in your local area/team. Lead Volunteers are increasingly important in providing the support, direction and organisation our volunteers need. We provide the opportunity to gain experience or put your skills into practice to ensure the smooth day to day running of volunteer activities in your area and that our volunteers have the best experience possible.
