Towpath Team Volunteer (Let's Paint and Tidy Brentford Gauging Lock)

Come and join us on Wednesday 17th June 2026 between 10:30 and 14:30, for a satisfying day's volunteering. The main activity will be painting and tidying around Brentford Gauging Lock in preparation for the Brentford Canal Festival. The meeting point will be by Lock 100 Brentford Gauging Lock, off Tallow Road, Brentford TW8 8EE - what3words: clap.grab.fees. Brentford Train station is just over a 10 minute walk away, there is no parking available around this location. All tools, equipment and a hot drink will be provided, together with expert and friendly support. All under 16's need to be accompanied by an adult. This is a great way to meet other local volunteers and spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment. No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket, warm layers), water to stay hydrated and sturdy footwear ideally boots or wellies.
