Come and join us on Saturday 6th June 2026 between 10:00 and 14:00, for a satisfying day's volunteering.
The main activity will be tidying the area next to the bin compound, digging up the bed next to the elsan and tidying up the planter around the bin compound. The meeting point will be by the hut at Lock 90 Norwood Top Lock, Havelock road, Southall, UB2 4PJ- what3words: wide.battle.secure. The bus E5 stop is right by the hut and parking is available along Havelock road, Glade Lane & Poplar Avenue, but it does get busy. All tools, equipment and a hot drink will be provided, together with expert and friendly support. All under 16's need to be accompanied by an adult. This is a great way to meet other local volunteers and spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment. No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket, warm layers), water to stay hydrated and sturdy footwear ideally boots or wellies. If possible, please sign up to let us know you plan on coming along.
