Join the Brent Towpath Taskforce
Want to get outdoors, meet new people and make a real difference to your local area?
We’re bringing together a Brent Towpath Taskforce a regular team of volunteers who want to roll up their sleeves and help care for the Grand Union Canal and its towpath.
On the second Saturday of every month, from 10am–2pm, we’ll come together to tackle practical projects that make the towpath cleaner, greener, safer and more welcoming for everyone.
Tasks could include:
- Litter picking and keeping the towpath looking its best
- Cutting back vegetation and managing overgrown areas
- Improving habitats and supporting local wildlife
- Helping with small maintenance and improvement projects
- Taking on seasonal tasks to keep the canal environment thriving
You don’t need any previous experience. We’ll provide the tools, guidance and support, all you need is some enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in.
When: Second Saturday of every month
Time: 10am–2pm
