Towpath Team Volunteer (Uxbridge Lock Litter Pick)

Come and join us alongside Colne Valley Park on Tuesday 2nd June 2026 between 10:00 and 14:00, for a satisfying days volunteering. The meeting point will be by the workboat moored at the operational mooring above Lock 88 Uxbridge Lock (just past the Lock House what3words: eager.wallet.digit), the main activity will be a litter pick along the towpath from Lock 88 Uxbridge Lock going towards Lock 87 Denham Deep Lock . All tools, equipment and a hot drink will be provided, together with expert and friendly support. All under 16's need to be accompanied by an adult.

This is a great way to meet other local volunteers and spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket, warm layers), water to stay hydrated and sturdy footwear ideally boots or wellies.
